These guys are on a reasonably flat river, and if you're rowing at international level, you'd be on a calm 2k lake.<br /><br />Because our gates are set higher (they generally are on the Cam, it's what people are used to) you can sit at Backstops and cover the blades fully, and see that you have to be drawing up higher to the chest rather than the lap. Top class crews always pull into their middrift. And I don't think it's just because they're taller.
